100% behind you Krysta! HOOAH!
Gee, asking Sharpton about Glen Beck, I bet you get an unbiased opinion!
Get a clue Ed! Thought you had at least a little sense!
Thank you for keeping up on the affairs in WI. I live here, and I am sick to my stomach as to what has happened to my home state. The things these TeaPartyers are doing is unbelievable. After the Republicans stole the 2000 presidential in Florida, then the questionable results in Ohio in 2004, do you think they have figured a way to steal elections and have now employed it in WI?
This is Sunday 4/10/11. I need to make a comment about todays Ed show " The Black Agenda ". Sharpton was one on the show with many others. What bothered me was the message that blacks don't get a fair chance. They seem to think that because 26% graduate high school , 75% of prison population is black and states like Ohio are lowering there job test scores to a 52 or F so blacks can get some of the jobs , they are being mistreated ! " Duh " Am I missing something here ? I don't believe they are not smart enough I think they just want a hand out. For me, I'm getting tired of hearing about it. Oh yes, Ed told us the black unemployment rate is 15%. It will still be that when the economy turns around. That is great stats and they don't want to better themself's.
I live on Staten Island NYC. I also saw the Black Agenda Show and I liked some of it but I disagree with one part of it.
The most important part that I disagee with is Sharpton and some of his guests desire to concentrate educational funds and anti poverty funds in high poverty zip codes.
I disagree poverty and educational monies should follow poor people.!
We have plenty of poor people here on Staten Island many of them are White and they also need help.
If the President follows Sharpton's agenda ,I will vote Republican in 2012 , more importantly Staten Island is a swing congressional district. Our congressman is a recently elected Republican, he unseated a Democrat.
If you favor poor people by zip code , race or ethnic background we will just keep the Republican.
Colorblind universalism or nothing
I live on Staten Island NY. We also have many poor people and I do not think that Ed , Sharpton and SOME of his quests want us to get a fair amount of Educational and Anti-Poverty funds to serve them.
If Sharpton's agenda is followed poor people who live among us will not get their "Educational Civil Rights"I would rather deny him his agenda then allow that to happen.
Staten Island is a swing Congressional District. Last election a Democrat was unseated . If you want to get a Democrat into that seat , you better get color blind. You need us more than we need you!
