The conservative group One Million Moms calls the ad "highly offensive and not family-friendly advertising." Why? There are two plastic grooms a top of the cake. They are asking supporters to sign a petition demanding that Macy's take down the ad due to its "homosexual content." One Million Moms is an anti-gay group affiliated with the American Family Association whose mission is to get companies to drop advertisements from content they deem "objectionable."
Their affront in this campaign doesn't stop with just plastic men. Real people, such as comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres are taking heat from the group as well.
DeGeneres, who is openly gay, was recently hired as spokesperson for JC Penney. One Million Moms released a statement saying she simply does not represent "the type of families that shop at their store," and that, "The majority of JC Penney shoppers will be offended and choose to no longer shop there." All this, they say, because Ellen is an "open homosexual."
JC Penney isn't backing down saying that they stand behind their partnership with Ellen

M. Knight-- I knew of a homosexual couple who were beauticians. They had a large following of straight females. They were a couple for 44 or 45 years. They were broken up after all that time, but THROUGH NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN. They were both veterans. One was ill, and God didn't want him to suffer any longer. The other one lived by himself for a year or so, became ill, and God took him to join his companion. I attended burial services for both of them-- the one was a guy I had gone to school with.
Why is it since the 'inception' of the Internet era that everyone has to be included, involved and so opinionated about everyone's personal business and life style?? PROUD of JCP!! If the million moms don't shop there...oh well...there are many more that will. Stay outa other people lives and get one of your own! Ellen does SOOO much good for sooooo many people and organizations. So sad to hear that caring and love has boundaries.
Enough is enough. These women don't represent all American women and if they don't want to shop at J.C Penny's or watch Ellen's show that is their choice. I have no patience with One Million Moms opinions. I like Ellen and I'm very sure more than 1 million other people do to. Don't the One Million Moms have something better to do; although I do admire their eyesight because I wouldn't have noticed. I certainly don't begrudge two gay guys a marriage with all the trappings including a cake and a delightful honeymoon. One Million Moms go home and bake a cake and celebrate your families and leave others alone and in peace! By the way, do they actually know that the early church celebrated same sex marriage?

I haven't dealt directly with my beliefs about homosexuality on this blog before, but I will now... I think you may find them 'different'...
I am not homosexually inclined myself, but I have no problem whatever with homosexuality. I believe I can explain why, some people are naturally inclined to what some other people consider 'unnatural'...
As most of you know, I believe in karma, reincarnation and 'past lives'. Everyone alive has been here before, all races, all colours, all creeds... We carry partial memories of these lives imprinted in our subconcious memories, unable to access them conciously, but partially guiding our actions... We program these behaviours constantly, but almost unconciously.
In this context, natural homosexuality is bound to exist, through subconcious memories of past lives while you happened to be of the opposite sex! If your sex life in a recent past life with someone the same sex you are now was ecstatic, your subconcious mind will direct you to the same sex to return to that state of ecstasy...
In my particular case, I believe I am heterosexually oriented, but not because my most recent past life was also male... My most recent past life made her living through prostitution! My relations were sexual, but were tainted with abuse and monetary need. I'm pretty sure that, when it came to emotional needs and satisfaction, I preferred women to men...
Becoming aware of our past lives and how we 'program' our subconcious minds can alleviate a lot of unnecessary fears and guilts. If everyone realized that, at any moment, we could be living in someone else's shoes, it would increase empathy and ensure that 'we do unto others'...
