A major victory for women in Virginia.
After Gov. Bob McDonnell said he no longer favors requiring women to undergo an invasive ultrasound before having an abortion, the Republican-ruled House of Delegates voted 65-32 for a revised measure that mandates an ultrasound but makes the transvaginal procedure optional.
Opponents of transvaginal ultrasound argued that mandating the invasive procedure, without a woman's consent, was a form of rape or sexual abuse:

The House amended the bill minutes after Republican Gov. BobMcDonnell came out against mandating the more invasive procedure.McDonnell shifted ground after the proposal drew outrage from women, national ridicule from television comedians and appeals from GOP moderates.

The amended bill now returns to the Senate where its sponsor, Sen. Jill Holtzman Vogel, said she will strike the legislation. That means senators could vote to kill the amended version when it returns to the Senate for approval.

republicans are trying to put woman back into the home dependent on men to determine what they can/cannot do--deplorable! Men make sure the insurance companies cover their prescriptions so they can "perform" but want to deny the woman the right to birth control for health reasons/contraception. I was listening to your SirusXm show today and was delighted to hear you interview a real teacher from Chicago and not one of the corporate school privatizers. The business model of closing schools and firing staff does not map on to education. It is destructive for learning and is cheating our most vulnerable students of a right to an appropriate public education. Why is God called "heavenly Father"? Is God a man? No. God is a deity who created humans. God has no gender. Jesus was a man, yet when He was asked who He is, He said I am the Truth, the Light and the Way. Once again, none has a gender. It is taught to us at a very young age that God is a man, Jesus is a man, therefore men are superior. That needs to be adressed and corrected, for a start.

They're so rich they don't have to worry about it, whether they keep it or pay to have it secretly aborted. I'm assuming abortion will be illegal if they can take away birth control. It's all part of their Master Plan. Keep the poor poorer, barefoot and pregnant.
